En la actualidad existen muchos motivos, por los que el Estado y la
Sociedad deben demostrar interés por las Personas de la Tercera edad,
siendo éstos, demográficos, económicos, físicos, políticos, de opinión,
etc., al constituir un fenómeno difícil de manejar y solucionar es necesario
que se tomen acciones que moderen la problemática de los ancianos.
La propuesta del "Proyecto para la Consecución de Recursos para la
Fundación Voluntad y Ayuda", responde básicamente a la preocupación
por la situación que viene enfrentando el mundo y el Ecuador en
particular, respecto a las personas de la Tercera Edad, en cuanto a sus
características individuales, familiares y comunitarias y específicamente a
las necesidades de los ancianos desamparados.
La Fundación "Voluntad y Ayuda" es una organización pequeña, que
dedica sus esfuerzos a este grupo de la población que habitan en los
barrios de San Juan y de Toctiuco, proporcionándoles servicio vitales
como: alimentación, asistencia médica, recreación entre otros;
lastimosamente las posibilidades de continuar brindando esta asistencia
es cada vez más limitada, por la falta de recursos económicos, siendo
necesario tomar acciones inmediatas para lograr recursos que permitan
que esta organización continúe con esta labor e incremente los servicios.
